Birch Plywood sheets are cut from a premium quality grade product. The 1/64-1/8 6 ply is aircraft grade plywood. The thickness of the sheets are in metric measurements which have been converted to English equivalents, as is all aircraft grade plywood.
Finnish Birch Plywood is used in the construction of many aircraft designs. The GL1 specification of Germanischer Lloyd is extremely high. The plywood tested by Germanischer Lloyd, and provided with his stamps since 1931, has gained an enviable reputation on the international market.

The product know as "Finnish Birch" is actually Koskiply or aircraft plywood and is a thin bendable waterproof ply that looks similar to Baltic Birch in size and structure. If you buy from the lumber yard or home centre you get whatever is in the racks which in my experience is C/CP grade interior ply.

I suggest that you telephone or e-mail Aircraft Spruce or Wicks and ask what stamp is on their Finnish Birch sheets. Then track down what that stamp means. I have used a lot of that material in cabinet drawers and boxes.
